An observational study was conducted in 2005 to ascertain the unique legal information needs of small-firm and solo attorneys in a predominantly rural region for a newly re-established county law library. A subsequent study in 2014 updated previous findings for the law library trustees' informed decision making in an area of increased need and decreased financial resources.
